About Me
Hello, I’m Ceri, a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My journey into counselling grew from many years working in education. I spent over 18 years working in education, including senior leadership and Head of School roles, where I developed a strong interest in wellbeing, emotional health, relationships and the experiences that can affect people both personally and professionally. Alongside my leadership responsibilities, I worked closely with children, young people, parents, families and colleagues, supporting them through a wide range of challenges.
Over time, I became increasingly interested in understanding what sits beneath the behaviours and difficulties we see, and in how having the opportunity to feel genuinely heard and understood can make such a difference. This led me to train as a counsellor and begin developing a career that brings together my experience in education with my passion for therapeutic work.

I completed my Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, training as an Integrative Counsellor. I subsequently completed my Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People, developing specialist knowledge and skills in working therapeutically with children and adolescents.
Alongside my private practice, I have gained counselling experience working with both adults and young people in voluntary and professional settings. I have supported clients experiencing difficulties including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement, relationship and family difficulties, emotional distress, self-harm, identity concerns and the impact of difficult life experiences.
My previous professional roles have also given me extensive experience in safeguarding, supporting emotional wellbeing, working with families and young people, and working alongside other professionals. I feel this experience is an important part of who I am as a counsellor, providing me with a broader understanding of the different pressures and circumstances that can affect our emotional wellbeing.
I am particularly passionate about creating a therapeutic space where people feel safe enough to be themselves. I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is central to the therapeutic process and that being met with warmth, empathy and acceptance can be a powerful starting point for change.
I work with adults, young people and children, and I am committed to continuing my professional development so that my practice remains ethical, reflective and responsive to the people I support.
