Welcome

Integrative Counselling in Fleet, North Hampshire & Online

There are times in life when things can feel difficult to navigate. You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, loss, burnout or a loss of confidence. Perhaps you are facing a significant change, feeling overwhelmed by the demands of work or family life, or finding yourself caught in patterns of thinking or behaviour that you don't fully understand. Sometimes you may not even know exactly what is wrong- only that things don't feel quite right.

Counselling provides a confidential and non-judgemental space where you can pause, take a breath and give yourself time to think about what is happening for you. It can offer an opportunity to talk openly about things that may be difficult to share elsewhere, explore your thoughts and feelings, and begin to make sense of experiences that may be affecting your wellbeing, relationships and everyday life.

How Counselling can Help

My Approach to Integrative Counselling

Soft mountain landscape in warm natural light.

I work with adults, young people and children, recognising that every person is different and that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counselling. As an Integrative Counsellor, I draw on different therapeutic perspectives and tailor our work to you, your experiences and what you hope to gain from counselling.

At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, listened to and genuinely understood. We can explore what is happening for you at a pace that feels manageable, without judgement or pressure.

Support Through Life Changes

Peaceful layered hills in a misty landscape.

My professional background in education, wellbeing, safeguarding and family support also gives me particular insight into some of the pressures that can affect our emotional wellbeing. This includes the demands of working in education and caring professions, parenting and family life, supporting children and young people, managing relationships and the expectations we can place upon ourselves. However, you don't need to be experiencing any of these challenges to come to counselling. I work with a broad range of difficulties and life experiences.

Working Together Through Counselling

I won't tell you what you should do or offer quick fixes. Instead, I will work alongside you with curiosity, empathy and respect, helping you to explore what may be happening beneath the surface and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.

Counselling can help you gain clarity, recognise patterns, develop greater self-awareness and confidence, and feel more able to make choices about how you want to move forward.

You don't need to arrive with everything worked out, or even know exactly what you want to talk about. We can start wherever you are and take things at a pace that feels right for you.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know exactly what is wrong before I start counselling?

No. You don't need to have a clear explanation for how you are feeling or know exactly what you want to work on. We can begin with whatever feels most important to you and explore things together.

What happens when I first get in touch?

Once you get in touch, I will usually arrange an initial conversation to answer any questions you may have and to discuss what support you are looking for. This gives us an opportunity to consider whether counselling with me feels like the right fit for you.

How often would I have counselling?

This will depend on your circumstances and what feels appropriate for you. We can discuss this during our initial conversation and review it as our work progresses.

How long will I need counselling?

There is no set answer. Some people benefit from a relatively short period of counselling around a particular difficulty, while others prefer longer-term support. We can discuss your needs and review our work together.

What happens if I don't know what to talk about?

That's completely okay. You don't need to prepare for a counselling session. I can help you explore what may be happening and we can start wherever you are.

Do you work with both adults and young people?

Yes. I am a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor with adult counselling training and specialist Level 5 training in Counselling Children and Young People. I work with adults, young people and children.

Can parents contact you about counselling for their child?

Yes. I welcome an initial conversation with parents or carers to discuss whether counselling may be appropriate and to answer any questions you may have. Where counselling is appropriate, I will ensure that the young person's needs, views and confidentiality are appropriately considered.

Is counselling confidential?

Counselling is a confidential space, and I will explain the boundaries of confidentiality when we begin working together. There are some circumstances where information may need to be shared, particularly where there are significant safeguarding concerns. This will be discussed with you wherever possible.

What if I am nervous about contacting a counsellor?

It is completely normal to feel nervous about taking the first step. You are welcome to contact me with any questions before deciding whether counselling feels right for you.

Can I have counselling online?

Yes. I offer counselling online via secure video sessions, providing a flexible option if you are unable to attend in person or simply prefer to access counselling from home
